Gautam Dhimal

Gautam Dhimal is an accomplished visual storyteller, renowned for his outstanding works in the film and photography industry. His love for capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and the unknown through his lens has made him one of the most sought-after photographers and filmmakers globally.

Gautam has collaborated with top names in the industry like BBC One, FOX, Disney, Red Bull, Nestea, Coca Cola, Panasonic, Vicks, Nippon Paint, Samsonite, Doosan, Kellogg’s, among others. He and his team offer professional film and photography services to clients worldwide. Gautam’s expertise as a line producer, production manager, and fixer for international film and photography productions in Nepal is highly sought after.

In February 2022, Gautam launched the book “Himalayan Fashion Adventure,” and also exhibited some of his world-class photographs at Location Nepal in Kathmandu. The book and the exhibition aimed to promote the majestic Himalayas of Nepal as the next filming and photography destination. It highlighted the numerous creative opportunities for film production in different locations of Nepal and supported Nepal’s potential as a filming and photography destination. His work has earned him the 3rd prize in the Fashion/Advertising category of the International Photography Awards (IPA), making him the only Nepali to have received the IPA in the 19 years of the awards history.

Gautam is also the Executive Producer of Location Nepal Pvt. Ltd, a Nepalese International Production and Service Company that provides support and services for international film shoots in Nepal. With the growing popularity of Nepal as a filming destination, Location Nepal’s team has been meticulously mapping and archiving Nepal’s diverse and exotic landscapes.

Being also the CEO and Chief Photographer of Fantastic Film & Photography in Dubai, UAE, Gautam expands his working space and calls that the World is his Studio.

In addition, Gautam is currently working on several book publications, including one on African Wildlife, in collaboration with his friend and wildlife guide, Lucy Mars Putter of South Africa. He is also creating a book on Nepal’s culture, landscapes, people, and traditions, which will serve as a visual reference for film and photography professionals interested in Nepal.
