The world presents numerous wonderful opportunities to a photographer.
I have spent many years exploring these possibilities, including documenting child labour in Latin America for 12 months which culminated in a travelling exhibition; and recording the lives of Kenyans in an exhibition called “People from the True Continent”. My native Venice presents a wealth of subject matter which never ceases to thrill me, from the serenity of the lagoon at dusk to the excitement of the Carnivale, I never tire of photographing this beautiful place.
My name is Michele, I am a native of Venice, born on the island, now dividing my time between Vienna & Venice. I am a events & wedding photographer, as well as operating photography workshops, mostly in Austria & Italy.
I speak Italian, English, German and Spanish.
Recently I have been working for Ferragamo, Generali, Netflix and Tate Gallery, with photographs published in many international publications including Il Gazzettino, Ansa, Lapresse, Kurrier, Reyerzine, Venezia Marketing & Eventi, La fotografia Actual, and the 55th Venice Biennale catalogue.
I have been a member of the Association of Italian Journalists and teach photojournalism at my local folk high school.
I find capturing the moment before me exhilarating. Documenting the detail, recording the mood and finding meaning in the scene before me are central to my photographic technique.
